Stella Fig

Top fig variety for me at the nursery.  It does well in humid and cooler climates.  It does fantastic for me here in Coastal North Carolina.  The Stella fig tree makes large green figs with deep red interiors that are syrupy sweet.  Notes of berry and a lot of honey sweet flavors as well.  It is bifere, meaning it bears two crops of figs - the breba and the main crop! It has beautiful deep-lobed finger-like leaves.  It is synonymous with the Dalmatie fig.  It is from the Adriatic Coastline and can be found on the Italian side of the Adriatic Sea as well as the Croatian Dalmatian Coast.
