Teramo Fig

This tree come from the beautiful town of Teramo in Abruzzo.  It was brought over by a family who live in the greater Washington DC area in Maryland. It was introduces to the fig community by Bill from Off The Beaten Path Nursery.

It is a prolific variety that yields a large amount of small to medium sized fruit. It has a sweet sugary flavor with berry tones and ripens early for me at the end of July and Early August.  It does well in cool climates and does well in wet climates for its resistance to splitting.
